Are you ready to feel better?

At The Healing Arts Center, we’ve been helping people in McMinnville feel their best since 1980. Dawn Berry has cared for our community for more than twenty years.

What matters most to us is simple: helping you relieve your pain, feel more balanced, and get back to living the life you want.

Feel better. Live better.

When you’re done with a “manage your symptoms” lifestyle—our whole body approach can help.

Acupuncture

If you’re tired of hurting, acupuncture gives your body a natural way to heal. Fine, gentle needles help improve circulation, calm your nervous system, ease tight muscles, and release endorphins—your body’s built‑in pain relief. Many people feel lighter, looser, and more relaxed after just one session.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

When your body feels “off,” herbs can help bring it back into balance. These time‑tested formulas support allergies, headaches, skin issues, digestion, stress, and more. They work with your body—not against it—to address the root of what’s going on.

Nutrition Counseling

Food should help you feel good, not weighed down. If your energy, digestion, or mood feels out of sync, nutrition counseling can help you understand what your body needs and why. Small changes can make a big difference in how you feel every day.

Meet Dawn Berry

My passion for health and healing began early in life. Growing up with a stepmother who was a nurse, I became fascinated by the body’s ability to change—and how profoundly our choices influence our well-being.

I watched the shift from whole, home-cooked foods to the highly processed food diets of the 1980-90’s. I saw firsthand how those changes affected people’s health. That curiosity became my calling.

I pursued a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas Christian University, setting a strong foundation in food as medicine. Drawn to deeper, more holistic approaches, I earned my master’s degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in 2003. After six years in private practice, a six week externship in Beijing, China in 2009 expanded my training. It was a formative experience that enriched my understanding of classical herbal medicine and the art of acupuncture.

My studies continued to evolve. In 2021, I became a certified Functional Nutrition Counselor under Andrea Nakayama, integrating functional nutrition with traditional medicine.

In 2023, I completed a rigorous 18-month dermatology program with world-renowned Mazin Al-Khafaji, earning a Diploma in Chinese Medicine Dermatology and joining the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Dermatology Association (ITCMDA).

Today, my work brings together decades of training, curiosity and clinical experience—all rooted in a lifelong devotion to understanding what truly helps people.
